Wise wayfinding for the road ahead.

Offering you a warm, soulful space to reorient your inner compass—toward more connection, clarity, strength, peace, and wisdom.

What is ‘spiritual counseling’?

Spiritual counseling honors the whole of who you are—mind, body, and spirit. It brings together the insight of psychology and the wisdom of spirituality to help you meet life’s changes with clarity and heart.

Whether you’re navigating emotional challenges, relationship shifts, or major life transitions, our work offers a down-to-earth, compassionate space to explore what’s unfolding. Together, we’ll cultivate understanding, resilience, and a renewed sense of peace and connection in your daily life

Ring the bells that still can ring.
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack, a crack in everything.
That’s how the light gets in.
— Leonard Cohen | Anthem

This season of life invites reflection, healing, and honest conversation.

Together, we’ll explore what it means to live fully and love deeply in every chapter still unfolding.

What can spiritual counseling help you with?

There’s room for whatever is stirring within you, both the practical and the profound. There’s room for all of it. Your stories, struggles, hopes, and the places that still seek understanding.

I work with older adults who are navigating the many layers of change that come with aging. These are some of the themes and turning points we might explore together as we listen for what your spirit is asking next:

  • Rediscovering joy, purpose, and sources of meaning in daily life

  • Deepening self-acceptance and spiritual peace

  • Adjusting to retirement—or finding a new direction after returning to work

  • Exploring legacy and what you wish to pass on

  • Facing fears or questions about death and dying

  • Living with illness or physical changes that affect the body, mind, and spirit

  • Processing grief and loss, including the deaths of loved ones, peers, or partners

  • Cultivating new friendships and support systems

  • Nurturing intimacy and communication in long-term relationships

  • Coping with loneliness, isolation, or life transitions

  • Caring for aging loved ones while maintaining your own well-being

  • Reconnecting with your sense of aliveness, creativity, and wonder

  • Integrating past experiences—finding meaning in what’s been difficult or unfinished

  • Making peace with the unknown and strengthening spiritual resilience

  • And more

Each conversation is an invitation to reflect, release, and reorient—so you can move forward with more ease, clarity, and heart.

"Don't ask what the world needs.
Ask what makes you come alive.
And go do it.

Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

— Howard Thurman

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all. Spiritual counseling is about respecting each person's individual spiritual beliefs—whatever they may be. It's part of my mission to help you grow into the fullest version of yourself, not to preach. As a retired Methodist minister, I consider myself universally spiritual rather than religious. While I grew up Apostolic Christian and am a long-retired Methodist minister, my spiritual journey has led me well beyond those earlier confines of organized religion.

    • If you live in southern Arizona, we can meet in my home office in midtown Tucson—a bright, beautiful, and private sanctuary.

    • I’m also happy to meet in your home if that’s more comfortable, for a nominal travel fee.

    • If you don’t live nearby, we can meet by phone or video via Zoom.

  • We’ll meet weekly or every other week for a defined series—often about ten sessions—then review your progress and decide together whether to continue or bring the work to a natural close.

  • I've opted out of the insurance model. However, I'm always willing to work with you on a sliding fee scale to make sure that your sessions are affordable for you.

  • Absolutely and completely.
